Jjimjilbang Spa Experience : Lasema Spa

Jjimjilbang  (Hangul찜질방hanja찜질房) is a large, gender-segregated public bathhouse, furnished with hot tubs, showers, Korean traditional kiln saunas and massage tables.

We have Jjimjibang Style Bath here in Manila and it is located in Makati. The place is very accessible and only a bus away from the station. (taxi will be better and the place is located inside the Makati Golf Club).

Upon presenting the voucher, we were given a uniform: pink shirt and shorts for women and gray for the men, two set of towels and a bracelet key for the locker. The key also serves as a timer and a recorder of all your purchases at the store inside.

Experience:

Our 12 hour stay is like a retreat. All you do inside is sleep, eat and meditate. The experience that you badly needed when you are coping with stress and tired from work. Can’t wait to come back!

Pros:

- They are open 24 hours

- all kinds of korean food (ramyun with kimchi, ice shikhye, banana milk, gimbap, patbingsu, mandu, etc.)

- Korean Ice Cream

- 60 min full body massage (Masseurs are really good, be sure to leave them a tip.)

-Three different saunas

  • Chungito: Balance your mind and energy and release all negative ions accumulated in your body
  • Salt Charcoal: Reboot your metabolism with this sauna’s carbon minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium
  • Oak and Clay: Accelerate your body’s healing process especially if you have skin issues or asthma

- Ice Room (-21C!)

- Ginseng and Green Tea Pool

- Cleanliness

- Cool Key Watch

- Korean Books and Manga

Cons:

- Wifi Connection

- Bit of a culture shock (must be naked when entering the wet area)

-The food is quite expensive

- Must bring cash

Bright Hues

Yellow is a tricky trend to master and it’s very easy to make a fashion mistake by getting it wrong.

It’s all about the right shade of yellow for your skin tone.

Fair skin types should opt for a more muted palette, while darker skin tones can pull of neon shades.

Inject them with print mixed and stripes. Blue, peach and pink is a great combo

Be careful wearing it with black, lighter shade will do the trick.

Pink Blue Stripes Tee and Yellow Skirt from Bayo.

Transitioning from “the wonder years of college” and turning into a “real person” is a difficult transition. Most of us in this age are graduating from college, searching for our first “real jobs” finding our purpose, making shit up, having kids and quickly into adulthood.

image

image

I’m in the finding your purpose part and being a regular person with no connections at all or whatsoever is hard on achieving your inspired goal. I try not to be affected by it and still stick to the plan. Cross fingers ^_^

image

As the quote state “Born to dream. Born to inspire. Born to embrace uncertainty. Born to “find myself”.

Money doesn’t defined happiness and right now I’m seeking ways on how to be happy. It makes me eager to go abroad and do something that I could never do here. I hope to find all my answers there and learned how to love myself more and show how happy I am even if I’m offline or online.

Cat Cafe - Myeongdong

I got the directions from a blog post on how to get there. At first, I thought it was not that hard, but when you’re actually in Myeongdong, you will really get lost because of the attracted signs of shoes, clothes, makeup stores that are so cute and cheap that you forgot to track down your actual destination.

How to Get There: Take Subway Line 2 to Hongik University, and go out of Exit 8. Turn right at Seven Springs corner and pass the intersection. At the 3-way intersection, turn left. Walk about 100 meters on the road above the playground and walk towards the road on the right side. Walk about 500 meters until you find the coffee shop on the right.
